Graduating Class of 2011

To everyone in the graduating class of 2011:

Many of you have come to a part in your life of drastic change. For some, this change is from middle school to high school, high school to college, or college into the real world. Regardless of where this change lies, it is inevitable.

Please take advantage of the opportunities that will present themselves in the near future. These opportunities can include meeting new people, networking to form a wider group of resources, and even starting fresh on a new path. Anything from this point on is possible. If you go into this new journey without expecting the unexpected, success will be very hard to reach. You must keep an open mind. Try everything for yourself and make your own judgements.

We've all come to a point sometime in our life where we have felt that we can do it alone. As encouraging and confident as this may be, it is close to impossible. This is not to say that we should consistently rely on others, or that it is impossible to be independent. In fact, I encourage you all to find independence in the upcoming journey. But in this process of moving on, do not forget where you came from or the lessons you were taught. Take everything you have learned from school, friends, and family with you along this journey. You can only hope that you have learned enough.

Go forward to do great things and become great people, but never forget.

So, to the class of 2011... CONGRATULATIONS!
